The drive to Luray took us into the Shenandoah mountains and outside the range of T-Mobile coverage, through little towns, crew cut fields and whipped cream skies. (Americana sign watch: "Warning! Honest Mechanics!" outside an auto repair shop.)
The RV park (http://www.lurayresort.com/index.htm) had a webcam, which my coworker Julie double-dog dared me to pose for and/or do something ridiculous, so Wes and Keighley went to find it while I waited back at the rig to do the screen capture on the computer. The camera refreshes its image every three minutes, so I had to grab it while they were on it:
We went to Luray Caverns (http://www.luraycaverns.com/) which was a lot like Bryce Canyon inside out -- the same melted-crayon look, but 16 stories underground:
In the parking lot after visiting the Car & Carriage museum, where Keighley got a Chopper Shop sign, and the Singing Tower in the distance (with a carillon of 47 bells):
Flotzie's Ice Cream Shop and Keighley's blue tongue from her blueberry sno-ball:
