We had to take the Kinki Expressway (snick) to get back to Osaka and the airport. There seemed to be nothing but white cars on the way -- the Japanese just love white cars.

In Osaka, being in the big city means that you have a big mall near the airport, but all the feeling of being in Japan disappears -- everything is international stores (Adidas, the Gap) and you feel like you're in the United States (except that you have to pay in yen if you aren't using your credit card).

On the other hand, the food court has some decent Japanese food. I took this picture with my cell phone (since my camera was packed away) of the guy behind the counter making my okonomiyaki (wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okonomiyaki)

Then onto the airport and home --
