Eric dragged us through the town on a pub crawl, including a stop at the trendy Exeters, which despite the long queue outside was referred to as "Excreta" by the hip trendoids of Adelaide. He managed to drink us under the table in no time -- possibly because he had the advantage of not travelling and driving for days on end, but more likely because he was in his element :) Like all the Aussies I have met, he displayed great generosity and hospitality, and name-recognition at the great Thai restaurant (Sweet Waters) where we had dinner (or "tea" in Oz).
