Drawing and Painting:
I could always draw a little, enough that I once thought about art school after high school. I didn’t go, but years later, I signed up for a Chinese brush painting class on a whim. All I wanted to accomplish was drawing a decent bamboo branch in ink. Instead, a door to color opened up with oil paint, watercolors, charcoal, pastels...something about the mess appeals to the child in me, opening up that new box of crayons.
This October 20-November 16, 2025 you can see my exhibit, Drawing a Crowd: The Ultimate Dinner Party, at the Talkin Gallery at Howard Community College.
